or do they include the other search sites? I am pretty sure, I read it was only the google clciks and impressions that are used to calculate CTR. Can anyone verify?

The reason i bring this up is I too am changing copy and other things. So some ads that were profitable are going to see a few days of negative before they restabilize. Shutting off the "other search" and "content sites" during this period will reduce the pain.

Yes, CTR is calculated only based on the clicks and impressions on Google. I am not sure, how shutting off the "other search" and "content sites" will reduce your pain, as they do not figure into the CTR calculation.

It is just if I am paying $2 to get my position back where I was paying .20 before. The fewer clicks I get at $2 the better.

CTR for each individual keyword is based on total clicks from both Google and partners searches if you selected the option for both. This CTR is used to estimate the AdRank for each keyword.
However, the keyword status such as normal, on hold, disabled, etc is based on CTR from Google search only.
