Saw the thread but missed the "happy" end with the Credit :)

I wonder if it was as modest as mine: < £0.20. I was definitely having people click my advert several times to get to the page; might have to bring this up with them again.

Not sure if it was just a % returned but I did not ask and I got one too. It was about .5% of Decembers total dollars spent.

I doubt it was a percentage. My return was 6% of a single day's advertising expenses. They were probably able to track broken links.

You are correct, migriffin. The credits will be for all clicks received via the affected ads. Engineers were able to pull this info very exactly.

It was less than 0.4% of December spending so just a few hunderd clicks. It is the thought that counts I think, sales did not get hurt in any way.

I got one of these for my biggest client today. It was about 0.9% of December spending. I wonder if Google does this periodically to cut off criticism of fraud in their program and because they really don't give refunds for fraud.

I got one of these as well. It brings up an interesting issue - I would never have noticed the problem if it hadn't been posted here...

Received a few here without asking for it.
I had put aside a few domains that I knew were affected, but wanted to see how proactive Google was in iniating these refunds.
Have to say, I'm impressed that they caught more than I did.

Had another compensation the other day (13th), seems more reasonable. Looks like a good couple of hundred clicks were affected.

I got about 25% of my daily spend back due to the broken link problem. I also got the equivalent of 2 days spend refunded in December and an email stating that this was due to click fraud.
It is nice to know that G are indeed proactive on these matters, but it does make you wonder if this is all just the tip of the iceberg.

If it would be the tip of the iceberg we should notice this in our conversion stats but for the campaigns that were afected most conversions improved in this period.
