I was not among these first, but I have to say, that the problem and frustration remains.
I passed the test on the December 28th and I can still read in my MCC:
Not yet passed
Already taken the test? Results are reported 1 to 3 days after the exam date.
I have sent several e-mails to support, but I got just nice automatic reply containing:
"We strive to reply individually to advertiser emails within one business day." Several business days is over and still no answer.
Anyone has the same experience with his status?
AWA may you help?

I passed the test last Thursday, and my account hasn't updated. Not nearly as long as you have waited, but I sent Google support an e-mail anyway since it is supposed to be 1-3 days...
AWA may you help?
Yep, I think so. See farther below. ;)
I thought it was because I entered my original customer ID when I took the test, rather than my Client Center ID, but who knows.
This may very well be the issue, Fischerle.
Dave741, and Fischerle - sorry this has not updated yet. I'm wondering what email address you've written to? In this case the usual adwords-support@google.com would not be the best one to use.
There is a 'dedicated' contact us link at the bottom of the Google Advertising Professionals Support page, which you will find here:

I've alerted the team that answers those email, and they'll have an eye out for yours. You may want to include something really subtle in your subject line, such as: PER WebmasterWorld - TEST PASSED/NOT UPDATED. ;)
Congrats on passing the test, to the both of you, BTW!

I have written the subject line "PER WebmasterWorld - TEST PASSED/NOT UPDATED"
+ MCC ID
+ MCC login e-mail
+ other info
and still no change :-((
Thanks, AWA, for your responses.
My next question is, do we have to wait the full 90 days before we are eligible to receive the logo? I can't remember when Google started the Client Center system, but I signed up the first day. Has it been 90 days yet?
Not that I'm overeager or anything...<taps foot>
The official start day could be the 10th or the 17th - unsure.
There is no Google AdWords News
[adwords.google.com...]
or Google PR
[google.com...]
about the program. So the 'official start date' is pretty variable.
Where is that monthy AdWords newsletter *hint* *hint*

Dave741, all I can say is 'Dang!' I'll look into this and see what I can discover.
It seems I am the last one who has the status:
"Not yet passed":-(
dave741, timing is everything. I was just writing a response to you, between meetings, as you posted!
Anyway, I've looked into it, and word has it this will be resolved shortly. I would say within the next 6 hours, but I am mostly guessing, so don't quote me on it. ;)
Sorry about that! Please accept my apology for the delay.
WARNING! Off topic 'aside' below. WARNING!!
Where is that monthy AdWords newsletter *hint* *hint*
Point well taken, eWhisper. I personally am a huge fan of this idea. Maybe we should start a thread about it *hint* *hint* and get some feedback. ;)
For example:
* How many of you would like to see this happen?
* How often should it be sent?
* Would this be sent to all advertisers, or only those who had opted in to receive non-critical updates?
* Other comments?
Thanks!

A newsletter would help. G is one of the few companies that has no clue on how to communicate with its customers and where news needs to be "scraped" from forums like these.
Some local G offices (like the one in the Netherlands) have done some experiments but a good informative monthly newsletter is the least you guys can do.

You asked for some feedback on the idea of the Google newsletter. I think a newsletter for the "Google Professionals" would be helpful, if it perhaps covered more advanced topics that average users (with much more to worry about than Google AdWords) would not understand or find too valuable.
Issues like the following would be interesting to me:
1) Evaluation and trouble shooting of various tracking program issues
2) Q&A with Google
3) Advanced tips and tricks from Google
4) A list of important enhancements Google engineers have on their radar screens (for example, I’d love to be able to export CSVs of data like you can do in Overture, is that something Google is even considering?)
5) An accounting of new distribution partners
6) A suggestions/complaints box, where I ask for the ability to control the placement of my content ads and push them to specific sites (for example, when Google bought Sprinks, our client who sells weather instruments lost the ability to syndicate his ads to MSN weather because content ads as a whole did not produce positive roi for him) ;)
7) Basic encouragement and support from Google to those with the ability to create third-party programs that may integrate with AdWords in order to improve management and data analysis.

I like it! ;)
Thanks for the really excellent feedback, bostonscott, and welcome to WebmasterWorld.

It's been over 24 days since I passed the Google Advertising Professionals test and my account still shows I have not passed. I've received no response to my emails...
Welcome to WebmasterWorldLabeler2003!
Yes, 24 days does sound like a pretty long time. I'm guessing there may be some discrepancy in the account ID provided - in the few instances that I've followed that has turned out to be the case.
Also, I wonder what email address you've written to? The best way to contact the right folks would be to use the Contact Us link on the page mentioned way up there in Msg #4. Quoting:

I'll ping those folks, and make sure they have an eye out for your email. ;)

I did what you said, sending an email last thursday, and still my status shows that I have not passed, and I've received no response at all.
Labeler2003, while I was consulting on a question for Kmander in another thread, I asked about your situation as well.
Word has it this should be resolved by the end of the day (PST). Would you please post again if your results have not been updated by this time tomorrow?
If they're not updated, I'll rattle the cage again. Heheh.

I was under the impression that as a "professional," I would have access to valuable tools and other resources. Currently, those resources consist of 4 different marketing collaterals I "could" use. 2 of them are not customizable (1 PDF, 1 Flash File). 1 of them seems to explain the AdWords interface, which in my mind can only be succesful in getting my potential clients to sign-up themselves without using my firm.
I had these grand hopes that once I was entered into the program, i'd have access to tools that enabled me to manage accounts more efficiently (like an API) and possibly to some research/analyst reports that Google purchased that I could include in my sales pitches. I was hoping for something that would allow us to differentiate ourselves from the competition.
Hopefully those things are coming. Are they? :)
My Dutch rep has corrected this twice but every time you guys change something somewhere I'm "forwarded" again :(
added: WOW! Just detected the logo in my Pro Center! Cool.

I'll pass your feedback on, bostonscott, and also see what I can find out about what the future holds.

She also has AdSense on the site, and elsewhere on the home page she asks users to click on the ads. Of course, I immediately reported the site to AdSense with the complaint: what kind of people are you allowing to become certified professionals! Shameful.
