In looking for ad ideas I did a search in Google to look at US ads (I added "&gl=us to the end of the URL). And i noticed a funny thing. Some of the ads have an additional line with their phone number in it, i.e.
Title
phone
Ad line 1
Ad line 2
URL

How do I get that in my ads?

my bet is using Google Places as a part of Ad Extensions. Let us know what you find out.http://www.webmasterworld.com/google_adwords/

One ad had both (they did a fantastic job) the phone number and the ad extensions.

The phone number is not a clickable link, it was below the title. Then they had the normal ad extensions. Where they did well on the ad extensions was instead of doing what I did - listing product types and contact info - they did stuff like FAQ and 'Top 10 report' as their extensions. Good stuff.

But the phone number, that I don't know how to do.
