Average CPC For Remarketing?

I would assume that some of you are using the remarketing feature in adwords. My question is what is your average CPC bid to start seeing your ad all over the place? I am already bidding $6 CPC and although I am getting some clicks and impressions i virtually NEVER see the add.

Any thoughts? What are you bidding on average? Thanks

This really depends on how your remarketing is set up.

Do you have an ad group that is targeting just on remarketing, or also on keywords and/or placements?

I'm finding that often my remarketing clicks are cheaper than other GDN clicks when I don't add any qualifiers but the remarketing list.

Often, Google is showing my remarketing ads on sites where they don't normally have good targeting or have low CTRs so don't make much money. I'm OK having the remarketing ads on that site as I'm targeting the person and not the site's inventory.

like eWhisper said, it really depends on how you are remarketing. there are many ways to target folks, so it depends. you may have opted out, be a regular cookie deleter, have your remarketing bids set so non-remarketing ads show in keyword / placement / kw+place strategies, personalization may know you don't click on your own ads and not show them to you, among other complicated what if's.
