I just tried to create a new ad using my own domain as a display URL but was knocked back as the domain contains a "superlative" word. I am sure I have used this domain before, is this new?

And .. does this mean I am going to have to buy a seperate domain for my adwords campaigns than I am using for everywhere else? Not great on the old branding is it :(

I really doubt that you'll need to do that, chrisgarrett. When you created the ad, I'd guess that you were given an opportunity to request an exception. Be sure to do that, and your request will then be reviewed.

Based on what you've said I'd guess that the request will be approved, and that a note would be added to your account - so that it would not be an issue in the future.

What AWA said is true. Google has modified the rule about 5 or 6 months ago. At that time, every time I changed the ad content even without changing of the display URL, the ad was disapproved with the condition as you mentioned. I asked for an exception and it was approved. I haven't had any problem ever since.

Sounds as if we share a tendency to take stuff really seriously, chrisgarrett. :)

Thanks for the update, and I am glad you're up and running!
