Following the new TOS the visible URL should match the actual url. I presume this is only for the first bit and the actual url can be a lot longer.

We run a couple of ads with www.domain.cc (country tld) as the visible url and www.domain.cc/landingpage.html as actual url.

Problem is that the visible url redirects tot www.domain.com if typed in directly. The actual url however does not.

This seems to aply to the rules: no redirect, visible url matches actual url. Would you think this is OK, or would I have to change all ads?

HitProf,

If I understand your question correctly:

Display URL: www.domain.cc
Destination URL: www.domain.cc/landingpage.html

As I understand it, if someone clicks on your ad and is taken to the destination URL (as quoted above), then you are showing a valid display URL, so I don't see why this should cause a problem.

Official answer from AdWords support: It's OK, as long as the landing page URL doesn't redirect.

Redirects are ok as long as the landing page domain
matches the display domain. Many people use tracking
urls to track their traffic and this is still allowed.

Different situation: in my case the visible url redirects if typed in directly.
