Are folks doing this? CTR's in my industry are pretty low - at least most of my competitors are.

I wonder if I shouldn't go and get some really nice images done up and start running an image campaign. If people click, OK. If not, the image would be designed for brand recognition.

Thoughts?

I set this up when the original adwords first came out and it's a great tool. Now there's image ads, it's even better. Some businesses don't care about clicks if it gets their brand in front of consumers.

A good ad will achieve both: attract clicks and get your brand out there.

Give thought to how you'll monitor / evaluate activity that results from brand exposure when people don't click the ad directly.
