How Do You Pull Account-Level Reports Now?

What is Google thinking taking out the Account/Campaign/Ad Group report from the reporting suite?

If you want to give users "easier access" to the report, that's fine, but keep the original option instead of forcing our hand.

These reporting options are still available at the MCC level.

However, I haven't been able to find a way to get multiple conversion data types (lead, contact, sale, etc) at the ad group level from within an account.

Is this option just gone?

No word on the AdWords blog about this change at all.

You can get conversion type data at Ad Group level from the Campaigns tab, but you have to follow these ridiculously convoluted steps AND you can't view your conversion type data alongside your regular performance metrics. Personally I think this is a massive backwards step progress wise, and also faintly hypocritical given Google's recent push to force greater transparency onto agency reporting on Adwords.

1. you need to include the segment 'Conversion Type' - which will break out the different kinds of conversion actions that you have set up.

2. However you first need to click on the 'Columns' button at the top of the table of statistics visible within the campaign performance tab, and include all the Conversion options except the 1-per click columns (as 1-per click is not included in the Conversion type segment).

3. Once you do that, and select the applicable date range - the columns should export out correctly - and you'll see the different conversion types on each line for each campaign.

Further - with regards the template you have used before - these templates/scheduled reports that were set up within the Report Centre before, will eventually be transferred to your control panel, however in the mean time you might need to set these up again and schedule them as before within the new report location, from there you will be able to run it as desired and export it as a .csv file.

Thanks for the info.

I included the segment on the export of conversion type, redid it to include the segment conversion category - redid it to include both - and in all the cases only my chosen columns are being displayed (which means you can't see all the different conversion types you have) - the additional conversions are not being shown at all.

This is much more difficult than using the reporting center; and the data isn't there.

did you deselect the 1-per-click conversion columns under the 'columns' option in the campaign tab?

I totally agree that is is more difficult than the old way, and that the data is no longer properly accessible. I do not understand why Google are now saying that conversion-type data cannot be included alongside performance data when it could in the old reporting centre!

I have a link to the full transition details PDF but I'm new to this forum and can't see how to paste the URL.

You can just paste the URL into the post box and it will automatically be created.

Here are the style codes that are supported:
[webmasterworld.com...]

I did deselect the one click; but still it's not showing.

I'll see if I can do some quick scripts to pull the same data via the API.

Very poor transition overall. I'm amazed there's nothing on the AdWords blog about the change.

Thanks for the link - very helpful. Didn't have the "Dimensions" tab selected before.
