Hi,

As a newcomer myself I have a quick question for some of the veterans out there. I just started experimenting with adwords about 2/3 weeks ago. While I learn everyday, I tend to get impatient when I get a 1000 impressions and no clicks and/or when I get 100 clicks and no purchase.

Does it make sense to just move on to another campaign/product if 1000 impressions lead to no click (avg positions around 8-10 on adwords)?

Any thoughts on how long I should give it and what steps you all took when you were new to the programs would be helpful.

fyi..i'm testing affiliate marketing, so NO these are not my products.

Thanks,

affnewbie

All depends on what you're selling. If (hypothetically) you're selling cars and making 10% commision then you've got to wait a long time to see you're making any money....

100,000 impressions
1,000 clicks (at 10p per click = £100)
1 sale (at £1000 commission per sale)
Profit = £900.

However if you're selling something cheap (books or something) the you've go to make changes if you're not getting positive results in a day or so.

Hi Affnewbie,

I wanted to introduce myself as i am new as you are into the game.

So maybe we'll meet in one the G2Gs sometime?

I'm finding that the more setbacks i receive the stronger I become and a step closer to getting richer.

I think the best thing to do is just keep testing.

Good luck and many successes for your affiliation marketing ventures.
