In the past week I've noticed that sales have dropped massively. This is obviously due to the fact that anything ordered now won't be delivered for christmas. What suprises me is that I'm seeing hardly any drop in click throughs. Is it best to disable all of my campaigns for a week or two?

The general consensus is that after Christmas, many people start spending money (one of the reasons is because they expect after-Christmas sales).

I noticed a slow down in sales as well, but the traffic was still pretty high. I went and lowered my CPC rates for a while. Hopefully they will normalise.

Depends on your business. Software does well over xmas the last few years and today looks pretty good as well.

For me, it's the other way around: my sales remained the same, but my traffic for the last week or so went dry for about 40%...

And no, I am not whineing :)

Merry Xmas & Everything!

I have never, in 5 years on the Internet, figured out this late (say 20 DEC - Jan 4) period. My sales each year for this period, are about normal for the typical week in any other month, though much less than the weeks from after Nov 25 to Dec 20. And I have reduced my advertising, even to less than in other months in the year. Guess I should be thankful. But I do not know how to judge consumer behavior in this period each year, nor what to expect, though each year, for 5 years it has been pretty good.

Yea I usually just chill out during this period and bring in the reins a bit, but this year I need to hit a sales level which kinda stinks. In the last week I need the equivalent of 1-2 'big' days from mid-dec. It will be close but I'm gonna press for it.
