Launching a new domain and site in a new market

We are going to launch a new campaign for one of our products in a new market and we have decided to create a new website with a domain name better suited (we think) to the new market.

I suspect QS is related to domain name trust - since this is a new site I'm not expecting a stellar QS to begin with.

At this stage it is going to be a one page website - the landing page.

Is this plan flawed from the outset? We don't really have the budget to develop a whole new website - and I am averse to rewriting our existing content just for the sake of "filler". I'm not very confident that we'll get any deserving inbound links with a one-page website.

Do you have any advice for us? Have any here successfully run an Adwords campaign with a single page sales-letter website?

Thanks

Just make sure your keywords, your ads and your landing page are very very well synced as to focus. No reason on the face of it that it shouldn't work.

The biggest issue I am running across these days when doing audits of accounts like this is keywords that are too broad. If your offer (and your page, and your ad) only deal with one aspect of a concept or keyword, you probably aren't going to get successful quality scores on that broad term.

Thanks netmeg for your advice. This forum has trained me very well - nowadays I use very targeted keywords and match types.

It will be interesting to see what happens.
