Transfering Adwords Statistics to new account?

Hi everyone,

I just took over a small internet site that used Adwords to drive traffic to its site. Is there a good way to transfer the built up statistics from the Adwords account to a new account so that I donīt have to start from scratch in terms of CTR etc.? I am not talking about exporting and importing the campaigns but about the built up CTR history, etc. If I start from scratch and import the campaign I presumably donīt get access to the benefit of the built up good CTRs in the old account - is there a way around that?

Unfortunately, I canīt take over the existing adwords account as it contains campaigns from the seller for other websites. Is there a way to somehow split that existing account into two subaccounts without losing the statisics history?

Any help or experience with that problem would be appreciated.

Hi Joerg,

I don't think it will be possible for you to do that. Quite a few years back we wanted to change our account from dollars to pounds and we spoke to our account reps and they were able to get the account history transferred across, but that was just because it was a currency change when AdWords started letting advertisers use pounds.

Sorry but you don't have many choices.

You canspeak with your client and have him give you access to the entire account but you only manage the campaign that you were hired for.

The secore choice, your aware of. You'll have to start from scratch. Just remember to manage the clients expectations. Also, use his data to help give you a good start.
