You can't use two different domains in the same ad group.

Ah, yes that email came in. Then how can I do an A/B test to see which domaine performs better? Should I create the same exact ads in different campaigns?

You can, but it won't be an exact A/B test. Basically - you can't anymore.

You mean you could once but they disallowed it recently?

That depends on how you define recently :)
Coincidentally, Kevs, I was looking up the date of this change the other day for someone.
It was announced on the Inside AdWords blog in a post entitled "A change to our display URL policy" on February 20, 2009. So a little more than a year ago.
The charter of this forum prevents me from posting the URL of blog, but it is easily found using your favorite search engine (whatever search engine that happens to be heheh) should you care to read about why the change was made.

Adwords, do you consult? I tried to PM you but don't see a way to do that.

Interesting. I've never been asked that before. I am guessing you are asking because of my mention of looking something up for a colleague?
In any case, nope, I don't consult. I am actually a Google employee, and, having been around AdWords for a long while, I get asked about the dates of new features, policy revisions, and so forth, all the time.

I've turned off the sticky mail feature mainly because, as a Google employee, I don't want to know who anyone who posts in this forum is as an AdWords advertiser. And when I had sticky mail turned on, I would get requests to look into individual accounts, sometimes including account details.
