I couldn't stand all the hype so I went on eBay and posted my old Coach picture frame from a few years ago:

[cgi.ebay.com...]

I'll bet I get $5.

personally....

I spend about £3k per month and last year (or was it two years ago?) got a 'nice' fleece blanket. What the f*** I am going to do with that? Too big to clean my shoes and too small to keep anythign warm unless you happen to be 'peewee' or Rattus rattus.

Nice thought guys, but I hid it in the back of the Mini in case I needed to wipe mud of the windscreen.... might sell it on ebay actually...?

Sorry to sound ungrateful, but seems like there's only a very select few who get the gifts - this year looks like the shareholders come first.. what did they all get?

shak!

you got nothing mate?

seriously..!? what's that about then ?

kinda seem to have your name etched in my head from 2001 as as one of the first paying advertisers on Google in europe and many of the people I talked to when I first started had begun using google via word of mouth from you..

would have thought the google logo'd 911 would have been delivered a few xmas's back..never mind no prezzy this year..

On a personal note... I got nada too..(so far) ho ho booo

merry xmas

Hmmm.... I got it. You have to spend some thousands to get a radio. How nice and bonding ;)

Does a handful of disabled KWs count as a gift? :(

Must have to spend in Excess of 25k/year. One business with about 10x that spend got a couple clocks, the other nothing.

7.53 am this morning and a strange man at the office door bearing a gift from Google.

as much as I would like to come up with conspiracy theories, I invited him in for a coffee and interrogated him about origin of package and other associated information.

it was sent by Google a few days ago.

so I put my hand up for being wrong a few posts earlier, and apologise to the various Google employees who have seen this post and emailed me since.

I shall go stand in the corner

hmm can just imagine they are clinking the glasses at goolge with the smooth last minute operation :

stealthed lear jet out of US Airspace at 1000 hours, lands at gatwick at 0500 hours.

Armed bike escorts collect it and kidnap first delivery driver they see, one steals his uniform and drives the van to shak towers.

Successfull delivery parcel at 0753 then the clean up operation begins.

ho ho ho

AWA,

If I promise to double my spending in the next 12 months can I get another radio?

I can't get my kids to quit fighting over it, although it is easier to care for them while they're under a blanket in the dark playing with the mood light/radio.

:)

Heheh. Mquarles, if it were up to me, absolutely yes.

Unfortunately, though, I'm the Googler who has never even clapped eyes on an actual example of the radio!

I've only learned of it's features here on this Forum, and then seen a few pics on a really large online auction site. ;)

Now that is a great mental picture!

We got a couple of light radio thingy's. One went to our old address, luckily the DHL man realised when he dropped them off - think one was for Adwords and one for Adsense, but not certain.

I got the mood light/radio - great gift! My relatives all visited for Christmas and they were all oooohing and awwwwwing over it. My 8-month old niece figured out how to turn it to make it play and glow! I eventually gave it to my sister cuz I was amazed at how her baby daughter could "use" it. Think I'll get Uncle of the Year award for my re-gifting!

Also got a Google cool t-shirt with this little alien dude on it - think it was Google's themed logo for the Mars landing or something. And a little rubber keychain that says Google - connected that to my thumb drive and carry it from office to home (it's my secondary backup). These other things came separately from the mood radio - may not have been Christmas things - just some stuff from my G-Reps.

Next year, I'm asking G-Claus for a G-Boat or G-Cruise or G-House.

Gotta agree - bah humbug - not a thing - guess the 40k I spent last year didnt cut it - although I still have that old beach towel and blanket so at least in the past I was on their good boy list

The best chrsitmas present would be if google closed down your adwords account so you can't spare your credit rating.

My daughter laid claim to my radio about 30 seconds after I got the batteries in. She now keeps it next to her bed, and turns on the mood light at bedtime so she can watch it while she falls asleep.

She is also a huge fan of the Google changing glow pen I got from Matt Cutts in Orlando. I did manage to keep that one hidden from her for about a month before she permanently borrowed it ;)

I got one of those as well; quickly stolen by my girlfriend who took it to work, never to be seen again.

Jenstar, it seems like a warm breeze wafts through this Forum when you post here. :)

Glad your daughter likes the radio, and pen too. I've been lucky enough to hang on to the one changing glow pen I have, but only by never showing it to family members. And how much fun is that?!

And I've yet to even see a radio 'in person' yet.

I'm really sorry for those radios that never arrived, and have managed to scare up at least four more: I'm told a few seem to be finding there way back here as undeliverable.

Maybe one of the mods can help me figure out a fair way to figure out who to send them to?

<edit> Wow, gotta work fast around here. Added the word 'it' ;) </edit>

If you haven't seen one yet - I think you deserve to take one home.

Where you good for Santa? :)

Very nice thought, thanks. But, really, they are meant for advertisers and publishers. So, as much as I might be tempted...

I'm in the same boat with Jenstar. My radio arrived just in time for Old Russian New Year (which we celebrate in this household)... and was promplty claimed by my 14 year old step daughter who thought it was way cool. She's already put it in a place of honor on top of her dresser, sound off, light on, as an art object.
