Hi,

never seen this before. Paused a campaign on Friday afternoon and was still seeing traffic Saturday morning.

Is this normal?

Thanks

Where do you see the traffic?
If these are Clicks in Google Adwords - it seems weird.
If these are Visits in Google Anaytics - it may happen.

Actually, I'd look at the traffic from your AdWords console and your log files. It could take AdWords a while to catch up the reporting. But if you still see actual real time traffic coming in on your log files, then *that* would be another issue.

Been there. Seen that. This is one of the few things Google gives a concise answer about. It's a big system and it takes time for a pause or delete to fully pass through the system especially in the content and search partner network.

thanks idolw, thanks netmeg, thanks outland88

OK - they are not counted in the Adwords console and they are all Google IP addresses.

These are clicks on my Adwords landing page - which is <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> and shouldn't have any links to it.

Yeah it is log files netmeg. I get an email everytime the landing is visited.

Google Search only outland.

So I had a closer look.

The weirdest thing is the spoofed referrer field using acronyms related to our business. I guess they are looking for cloaking or DKI or something.

Anyways - sorry for the false alarm, thanks for your help.

Cheers
