Allowed display URL practice?

One of the things that I see a lot on adwords is using the keyword after the display URL:

domain.com/keyword

When the page might be something like

domain.com/products/keyword.html

Is allowed with the adwords terms? The product is the same as what's in the keyword in my first example. Yet it isn't strictly an accurate url.

Yes it is allowed. The URL does not have to actually exist although it would be a good idea to create it, redirect it, as Google could change their minds.
