Anyway sorry to hear that you've been banned. That's a real shame. On wards and upwards though.
I guess maybe I shouldn't be doing business with a company that treats it's faithful customers like this anyway but this is a tough one to swallow.
Anyone have more information on this?

This is serious badness. Lose $100s of dollars a day, and my account has been going for probably 5-6 years.
What do you make of this part of the google email: <no emails, no exceptions>
<Email paraphrase: Google will no longer show ads for the recipient, will not accept future advertising, and will cancel any future accounts opened by the same person.>
Are these guys seriously saying I cannot open another account for the rest of my life with them? This is worse than Russia in the height of the communist regime. Plain insanity, let alone dumb business. I mean a criminal get a 2nd chance after doing some time....but advertisers are banned for life?
Beyond nuts.

Has anyone had prior emails in the past (warnings of any kind) that they would possibly expect something like this to happen in the future?
<no emails, no exceptions>
<paraphrase: if you have a history of promoting certain types of sites that Google finds objectionable, your account is still subject to disabling even if you've stopped promoting those sites.>
So even if you corrected problems in your account, and tried to comply with guidelines, you still get banned.

I remember having one little mix-up with Google before which I acted on as soon as I could contact someone who could tell me what was wrong with my account. That was many months ago. During that time of confusion all my campaigns were on hold and I lost 1000s of dollars.
I fixed the issue they had (which was sooooo small btw) and upped my ad spend 3-5X as much as before. There were no problems with my account. Good CTR, conversions, everything.
To say that even though you may have fixed the problems we will close down your account anyway is just moronic. :(
About 12 hours later after I found out my account was banned I received 'you are banned' email. So they first disabled my account, support from the chat could see in the system a notice why my account was banned but I received the email afterwards.
Anyway, I got a reply from support within a couple of hours (that is positive). In the email they told me they forwarded it to the policy team not sure how you call it in English) and that I would receive an update when the policy team had made a decision.
One day later I received a follow up. The decision was made and my account was banned because of multiple low page quality disaprovals. (although I did not submit any new ads after the first warning and removed all ads/campaigns that might have been a problem and checked on a daily basis all for keywords with QS <4 or 5 and deleted them if I found any. I explained this also in my first email to them). They also told me not to contact them anymore etc. etc. So I did not send another reply.
So yes, I had contact with support and they responded very quickly. That is the only plus I can think of. :)
They also told me not to contact them anymore etc. etc. So I did not send another reply.
I recently read about one person who did get their account back. They replied again, and then again, asking to communicate with a supervisor - and it worked. Try bugging them a bit more, it might be the key, however daft it sounds.
Perhaps I will send another reply but I do have a some disaproved ads in the past four years and I'm working as an affiliate (direct linking to merchant). So my case is not the same as the one that got his account back.
Are we ready to fight, finally? G will do whatever they can get away with until we bring them to court like any other crappy corporation with bad policies and insurmountable proceedures.
I think it would be great to get these stories out to google's shareholders.
And that would do what? They are the whole reason Google has taken on the new persona of being the new and improved evil empire. It's all about the money and now that Google is now the largest affiliate in the world with their products stuff, they own it.
They didn't buy performics just for the heck of it any more than they didn't launch caffeine prior to the Holidays "to save webmaster's stress" according to MC. Right, as if suddenly Google grew a heart......
Webmaster's made this monster and continued to feed it with their blind devotion and look what that got you.
here is what they have done.
1. let people spend money to promote affiliate products
2. let them optimize them to maximize their own R.O.I.
3. develop relationship as affiliate network with same affiliate products.(perfomix, etc)
4. kick out affiliates.
4. use data from number 2 in their own system.
5. maximize their own ROI.
anybody care to refute that now?
They actually give you real CS and will SPEAK to you.
For some several years now there is a drastic change that hits A.K.A GWeb in the way G Operates, right about when Shopping season is here.
Constant fear of loosing your source of income? Controling the fact of who says what you do is wrong? Whould that be G?
