Here is my thinking - and I am trying to maximise the number of landing pages in my account.
25 campaigns X 100 adgroups X 2 ads per adgroup X 3 keywords per adgroup
I assume that the only need I have for 2 ads for each adgroup is for testing/ rotating ads - otherwise I'd only need one ad per adgroup. And I assume I have at a minimum 3 keywords per adgroup - again for testing as I discover on-target phrase and exact matches and remove low performance keywords. I want to keep the keywords tight and targeted.
So using these assumptions I can reasonably have a maximum of 2500 landing pages per account?
Is this the right way to visualise Adwords account structure?
Thanks
A campaign can have up to 2000 groups. You seem to put a limit of 100.
2000 groups - OK this is very good.
100 ad groups per campaign
I wish I knew what versions of the help documentation I should believe.
50k URLs is heaps.
Thanks
As far as I know, there is no limit on the number of ads in a group, but my guess is there probably is. I have some groups with dozens of ads I've tested. Of course all but one or two are active at any one time. There is also a 2000 keyword limit for each group, unless they changed that. That includes all types of keywords. So the same keyword in broad, phrase and exact matches is 3 keywords. Negative keywords also count and I believe paused keywords count too.
I'm runnning about 70 campaigns from one account with more than 1000 adgroups in each and 4 creatives per adgroup.70 campaing in ONE account? About a year ago ago the maximum was 25. After emailing with support they opened an seccond account for me.
Are you sure you don't have some special account type? And are those campaigns active? Because AdWords does not count paused campaigns.
70+ account would be nice. Especially when you target more countries and would like to separate content network and search network into different campaigns. Then 25 campaigns is not enough to manage campaigns effectively.
