I started a campaign last friday and I am experimenting with different keywords to try and get me head around it all. I am promoting my own pre printed t-shirt site
I beleive most people type in t-shirts when they search. I have been told that it is best to leave a space and i will covered for both t shirts and t-shirts. I have also been told not to add an "s" to make the word plural as adwords will automatically pluralise my keywords.
Can anyone help me please?

welcome to WW.
Use all:
t-shirt
t shirt
t-shirts
t shirts

I believe t-shirt is equivalent to "t shirt", a phrase match.

Hello Sumosam, Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

These numbers may give you an idea of what you should be targeting...

3195 t-shirts
1493 t shirts
1291 t-shirt
0750 tshirts
0693 tee shirts
0336 tshirt
0294 tee
0194 tee shirt
0166 tees
0059 teeshirts
0006 teeshirt

The number preceding the terms are search counts for the term using a popular Keyword Research Tool. You might want to do some further research using these...

Good luck, you are targeting one of the most extremely competitive areas online and offline for that matter.

You'll need to be really creative in the development of your copy so that you can target the high volume terms.

ABC Tees offers hiqh quality t-shirts at cheap prices. Our t shirts are imported from the top manufacturers in the t-shirt industry. What goes into a quality t shirt?

Get the point? ;)

I'm impressed... thanks for that!
I have tried to "read up" as much as I can about adwords but I am unsure about many things.
In the light of that information should I duplicate a phrase eg:
For Vintage T-shirts should I do all of the variations of the term for t-shirts or just the top 4 or 5 and then repeat for every type of t-shirt?
