Is that ruining TOS?

Our company run a big Adwords account for about a million keywords, due to the keyword quantity limitation we registered another account and moved some campaigns into it. We make the two accounts share exactly the same setting and insert both conversion snippets into our conversion page. The old account works pretty well while the other one shows no conversion at all. We know there are conversions and it's the problem of the tracking process.

We just don't know if it's a ruining of Google TOS or we've missed some details about the setting, please help us get over this!

Since you created a new account, you have to add the conversion tracking code from the new account also to the pages you are tracking the conversion on.

This is because each account at Google has its own tracking tag and there is no way to merge this, but since the reason you setup this new account is due to keyword limits, did you know that you can contact Google and ask them to extend this limit? That might be another option if you don't want to deal with 2 account and 2 tracking codes.

Yep, you'll would now need two tracking codes on the website - from each account.

I would also really advise not to run two accounts for the same purpose, as well as making things messy, Google may shut one down one of them (or maybe both) if they discover this.

I would suggest to contact Google may be they can extend the limit on request.

Thank you for reply!

However we've already inserted both codes into our conversion page and we noticed that they've got different ID#, we thought Google will differ them with these numbers. And we contact Google several times for kw quantity extension but got no reply.

How could we do?

Contact Google to ask them to link your accounts together.

They can link the two accounts so that only one ad shows from either and puts you back in compliance with the TOS.

It's also easier to put these accounts into the same MCC so you can navigate quickly between them.

There are time Google might not want to link the accounts based upon spend. If you consider 1 million keywords that spend $10k per month; that's a lot of storage and additional keywords to add to the auction for a limited payback. If you're spending $100k per month, then a million keywords is reasonable.

Thank you eWhisper!

But did you mean that actually we were ruining the TOS?

I'm a little confused, because I've found same topics and it seems there are sucessful cases.

Is there any chances that I just misoperated and made some stupid mistakes? i.e.I just paste the second one directly below the first one, before the </body> tags? If the second code shows a blank line before the </noscript>tag in Firefox but not IE?

My point is that if you do implement the same conv pixel for all Adwords Accounts you still have Yahoo and MSN accounts.
Imagine a user clicking on Adwords Ad and then on Yahoo ad and then converting. As you know both tracking systems will report the conversion and will "claim" 100% credit for it.
There are much better tracking solutions than implementing multiple pixels. There are few providers. You can contact me directly if you want more info.
