Every time I search it seems as though kelkoo and ebay have advertised under that particular keyphrase.

I have a product database of over 500,000 products which I would love to have on Adwords but Google say that they do not offer this. They said the "best" I could do was enter every keyword/product with different parameters 500 keywords at a time into the "Add keywords" box.

With 500,000 products I don't think that is really an option. How come the larger firms can advertise under a billion keywords no problem but all I get from Google support is templated replies?

Ask them for an account spreadsheet, this way you can create your list, categorise it into campaigns and adgroups and send it back to them. They'll upload it for you.

Mind, they probably won't do this if you spend $10 per day...

Not sure if i want to help you on this :P All i can say is if you have a person on staff with good knowledge of adwords and spreadsheet/database programs it shouldn't be extraordinarily hard to do. Slightly tedious, but not bad.

Managing the terms for ROI and longevity, well that's another story... using the search function for one would probably be slow as a turtle.

If my math is right, a single account can potentially house 5 million keywords...
