My daily budget is £99 which is less than recommended, but so far I have only received 1 click and 9 impressions.
The Ads Diagnostic Tool is telling me the following:
"Ad not shown ¦ Reason: Our system is experiencing technical difficulties."
The support people in Dublin obviously don't know about this problem as they claim it's my limited daily budget that cause my ads not to show.
I have several accounts and only this one is experiencing this problem.
Any advice?
- would it be worthwhile just opening a new account (which involves getting my client to install a new tracking code on the site).

Annie, a daily budget lower than the recommended figure is a sure indicator that your ad will not be showing all the time, so this really may be the issue - especially if the gap is substantial. You may wish to either meet the suggested budget, or thin your keyword list down, keeping only the more important or successful ones.

The Ads Diagnostic Tool, while useful, is no substitute for an actual human having looked at your account with an eye towards answering your particular question. So I'd give more weight to the support persons feedback. Especially since most 'technical difficulties' are addressed quite quickly.

I would never recommend closing an account and creating another, simply because an ad is not showing. It is really better to get to the bottom of the issue, and make changes to suit. In this case, I'd start with another look at the daily budget. Perhaps even raise it for a short period of time, as a test?

So after 5 days this ad could have recieved 4500 impressions and 450 clicks, and would still be within the current daily budget. But in real this ad after 5 days has recieved 9 impressions and 1 click. So what would it bring to raise the daily budget even more when the system currently uses less than 0.25% of the daily budget? Can someone clear this for me please?
Look for differnt keywords maybe?
I don't see how "Ad not shown ¦ Reason: Our system is experiencing technical difficulties." relates to "you're not bidding enough".
Right? I'm getting that a lot too. Now if I'm seeing that message 10% of the time I use the search tool, is that same behavior carrying over to actually displaying the ad when people search too? Am I missing out on 10% or more of ad showings?
My bids are tops on the ones that I check and I always set my daily budget at $1000.00 a day even though I know my ad groups will only generate $20-40 dollars a day in targeted searches.
Something is real wrong here!

However, this did not by far apply to all ads.
Luckily the campaign is now running and receiving plenty of traffic - even at about half of the recommended daily budget.
