1) My application-token comes along with the approval-note, right? As soon as I receive this, I may run my first tests?
2) Can I download the php sample-codes in one zipped bunch? Or do I really have to copy and paste them one by one? (I know, there are only a few, but I am a lazy person;)
3) I'd like to print the API-reference, so that I may take a look at it whilst programming. Is there any complete html or pdf version available?
4) Are there any recommendations on how to organize my local database, which should mirror the information given in my adwords account? Are there any standards? Is there any php-routine available which will generate an empty set of tables for further use according to such standards?
5) What about case-sensitivity with respect to keywords? Do you use only lower-case-keywords? And then mark this table-row as unique? I ask so because the adwords editor program once complained I'd have the same kw with both lower-case and upper case. Is there any difference in ranking/quality score?
6) Where did you find the best help on your questions? Here on WebmasterWorld or in the google-forums? I found traffic in the php-apility forum fairly low. Is that apility-framework worth a closer look at all?
7) This seems a really powerful tool for someone like me, who only tries to boost his own single webshop. I feel a bit overwhelmed by the possibilities that now turn up, and am afraid to lose focus. What was your most fruitful step automating parts of an adwords account-management? What should I concentrate on in the beginning?
Any help is well appreciated. I apologize in advance for not having read the manuals careful enough on one or the other of the above questions. One final question:
8) Why does it take two weeks to get the account approved?
ad 1) Despite my expectations, I received no application token. I'm a bit confused about this, actually. Do I have to choose a random token myself?
ad 2-7) Questions too foolish? Or are there really so few WebmasterWorld-posters familiar with the api-interface? I cannot imagine that. All paralysed by the elections?
ad 1) just create one in you MCC.
I did so today and am now waiting again. The form-field I had to fill in for this purpose had already occured during the first approval.
This is really all quite confusing, particularly because the approval-procedure recommended to set up a separate developer-API-account different from my company's adwords account.
