How much Can you Make with Adwords and Affiliate Marketing?

I am about to start my venture on Adwords to promote as an affiliate marketer. As I understand there are virtually thousands of niches you can promote and perhaps hundreds of thousands of keywords. Therefore I see the scalling level to be huge on this as long as you know each market well enough.

My question is how much can someone make from affiliate marketing using adwords for traffic?

Is 100k/month in profit doable? What about 500k/month in profit? yes I am talking dollars.

Plan on spending MANY hours and lots of money if PPC is new to you. SOmetimes you can setup campaigns that will run for years with minimal effort and spit out thousands per month. Things need to be super targeted & perfect matches between the keywords, ad text and landing pages.

Don't forget to factor in returns - you might think you've made a load of cash at the end of the month only to see your profits evaporate when you see 30% - 40% return rates.

It is much more difficult now than it was 3-4 years ago but there are still areas where it is lucrative. It also helps to have relationships with companies so that when they decide to ditch whatever they are using and farm it out to affiliates, the opportunity will be presented to you.

Spending $1.00 and getting $2.00 back is still pretty scalable in some markets but you have to find the site, pick the right products and landing pages, factor in returns, make sure they are cool with PPC affiliates, manage your cash flow, pick a merchant that will not stiff you, and be able to float up to 2 months of ad expenses before you get paid.
