i posted in the "Keyword Discussion" group, but I wanted to get an adwords related post on this...

what's up a 2 word keyword with a dash in it? you know...words like "add-on" or "sub-category" where people search it that way, with a dash, and without a dash.

will adwords bring it up regardless of how they are searched for, or do you need both in your account?

As I could recall "hyphen" is treated as "empty space", therefore a keyword like "add-on" is as same as "add on".

AWA would be the best source to either confirm or deny this.

Hyphens are one of several characters which are ignored, as smallcompany stated, making keywords with & without hyphens duplicates of one another. But, other characters are considered differently (apostrophes, for one) making the with & without versions different keywords.
