I had a good Ad CTR with one of my campaigns. Since the CTR was good I was getting clicks at a very low rate – at about 35 cents.
One day I don’t know what went my head. I have another website with the same service. Almost everything is same except the logo and some content here and there.
Since I wanted to test this site too – I “Edited” the Ads (only changed the URL) to point to my second site.
The next day I got the shock of my life. 90% of the keywords went inactive, the bids were raised to $5/$10. The ones that are active are NOT getting as many impressions as they used to get pre-edit.
Now I am deeeeeply worried.
Here are some of my worries:
1. What can I do to get back my keywords active with the “SAME” cost per click?
2. Should I write to Google?
3. Is this normal or I have actually done a mistake?
4. How do we test 2 websites with same keywords and Ads?
Any help would be great.
