"Error Pages" in Placement Report

Adwords Reporting Error Page as Domain for Content Network

Hello,

I recently pulled a Placement Report in AdWords & found that I was receiving not only clicks, but actual conversions from domains & URLs labeled "Error Pages". These pages actually appear profitable for this client, so no complaint - I'm just wondering what these are & where the ads are actually showing.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what Error Pages are exactly, since it was always my understanding that you weren't supposed to show AdSense on Error Pages. But yea, I get conversions from parked domains, when the domain is tightly themed with the product.

Error pages usually say "page not found" and then stick ads on that page. I can't imagine any of these ever converting. I opt out of these for every client.

[adwords.google.com...]

justshelley, might be people typing in a merchants name wrong, getting shown ads for correct spelling, then converting. value is questionable, but scenario is common.
