I believe I once saw something about a specific maximum number of campaigns. I can't seem to find that information right now. Does anyone know anything on this?

25 active campaigns is the limit.

OMG that is so low.
For those people who wish to have their ads very well organized - well that totally stinks :)

If you reactivate deleted campaigns, you can have more than 25 campaigns. The set back is it may slow down the loading time a bit.

You imply that if you had 100 ad groups spread across 5 campaigns that Adwords would be less responsive than 100 ad groups in 1 campaign?

The pages definitely can load slowly when you have 100 ad groups in a campaign. Although, Google's system is still amazingly fast compared to Overture's DTC.

Yes I have something like 200 ad groups right now - and nearly 100 paused. I'm planning on adding a lot more and wanted to do it in an organized way, using campaigns to segregate them all. But apparently that cannot be done, unless I want to keep it under 25 campaigns.
