Adwords... I don't get why one site have more traffic!

I have a site about a fairly obscure topic and another (new one) about a highly competitive topic. The obscure topic receives FAR less KW searches than the competitive topic as per both common sense AND #*$!.com.

I just ran tests today and finally got to the point where I had to pay enough CPC $ w/ my competitive topic to be listed on the first page.

However, forget about clicks, I'm getting NO impressions (when compared to my obscure site.) It just doesn't stand to reason!

Anyone have a similar experience like this or maybe know the cause?

brownoatmeal, if you mean literally no impressions at all, then my first guess would be that your keywords need to be reviewed/approved before running.

My second guess? Hmmm. Perhaps Daily Budget lower than Max CPC? Or campaign end date set in the past? Ad disapproved?

Might be best to contact AdWords support, as they can actually see your account, which those of us here can not. ;)
