Well, it's clear that a major slap went down around March 5. Many people were hit, some of us are still trying to figure out why.

BTW, is there any reason Google can't supply a slapped account with some kind of report outlining the problem(s) with your site? I know I'm dreaming here, but it seems like the least they can do for paying customers.

Anyway, the real purpose of this post is to discuss what people have done to recover from the slap. I'm hearing some information that the old technique of getting a new domain and just adding some new content is not enough this time.

So, if you've succesfully recovered from the slap for over a week or longer, please share what you've done.

I have recovered many accounts from a slap..

Here is step 1

Is your display URL linking to a 404 error page?

Step 2

Once you solve step one you need to recluster your keywords.

Usually these 2 steps will solve the issue...
