Hi,

I was just trying to see if anyone might know a solution to this.
With the phrase and broad match terms on adwords, is there any way of finding out the "other" words that were used to trigger the ad, without having to go through log files?

So if i was using "widgets uk" on a broad match and a user searched for "top quality uk widgets" it would trigger this ad.
How would I find out that "top quality" were the extra words used in this search and then i could create more specific ads for those search terms.

Any help would be appreciated.

cheers

I think you will have to go through your log files.

This is why I like using exact match :)

Someone asked exactly the same question here just recently. The answer is no; adwords does not track things for you that are beyond your keywords.

obviously if you direct users to a scripted page, not a static one, you can use the script to interpret the referer.

If you use asp or php you can put some code on every page that will make you your own simple log file. It is very easy. I can write it for you if you like.
