My site went down for two days. I was getting an average of 12,000 clicks per day and now I'm only getting 5,000 and CTR has increased 250%. I'm wondering if pausing your campaigns causes there to be a delay in appearing on the search network? The only explanation I have is that I'm only appearing on Google itself now.

Are you using Content Network? From what you say, you are receiving much less impressions. Have the figures improved these last few days?

I don't use the content network. No, I have not rebounded back to the level I had before. They aren't showing me the love they showed me prior to pausing the campaign.

Also, it might not be from pausing it, but from the fact that the network was unreachable by the spider for two days.

I think google maybe saw what happened to your site, and now thinks it's risky to show that ad.

AdWords is a major source of income for google, so they aren't going to risk showing ads that lead to a downed website. People will start to think that adwords stinks, only showing them spam and ads that don't work.

As a result, Google is going to be very cautious, at least for a while, until the spider and everything else realizes that everything is finally functioning properly.

Everything will settle back into place...I just have no idea when :)

Yeah.. I'm just playing the waiting game. When/if it bounces back to its previous level I'll post so everyone can see how long it takes for their own reference.
