question about adwords and commission junction account

Do I have to make a new cj account just for adwords?

I currently have a commission junction account for an affiliation website I have... Instead of using adwords to advertise my website I would like to sell individual products on google using adwords... In order to get credit I would like to use the cj tracking codes that I have.. My question is, since cj is registered to my website, do I automatically have to set up a new account in order to get credit or can I use the same tracking codes that I normally use on my website to do google adwords.. You see I registered my website with cj and I would like to keep everything on one account but I do not know if I will still get credit unless I make a new account? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can use the same account to promote affiliate programs from your website(s), PPC, banners etc. It would be recommended to use CJs built in campaign tracking to help you understand where sales orginate from. You just need to put &SID=Blah into the tracking link and you'll see the Blah in the sales reports.
