I am bidding on some broad match terms.
The expanded broad match is showing ads for a lot of irrelevant search queries against these broad match terms.
I go to google and have them suggest negative keywords for the particular adgroups.
Some of the expanded broadmatch terms my keywords are showing for are in the suggested negative keywords list suggested by google.
This does not sound too abnormal and one would expect this, but my question is - is this (negative keyword suggestions from google) a good guideline of for the type of expanded terms my keyword is showing for. Or is it just luck I found a few.
Clearly i want to identify as many as possible and just wandering if anyone has found this negative suggestion tool to be of any help with expanded broad match issues.
Thanks

Yes, I've found the negative suggestion tool to be helpful - but it's not going to know the intricacies of your business well enough to accurately identify irrelevant or poor performing queries. It's a good starting point - but only a start.
Here are some posts about the issue:

The best way i have found to accomplish what you're trying to do is to run a search query report. Be sure to select a long enough time period, and only run one adgroup at a time...otherwise it gets tough to tell what you should pull out as a negative, and what you shouldn't.
When you look at these reports, you'll be quite shocked at where expanded broad match is showing your ads. Simply cut and paste the words you know shouldn't be into your campaign's negative list. It is tedious work, it takes time, but I've been doing this for the last month, and have doubled my conversion rate.
