AdWords API - any down sides or liabilities?

My Client Center issues?

We're thinking of doing some development with the AdWords API. The sign up page says that you have to migrate your "personal" account over to a "My Client Center" in order to participate.

* Are there any down sides to doing that?

* Any hidden costs (extra charges)?

* Any loss of functionality?

I just don't want to wake up to any unforeseen problems that we may not know about when it comes to changing a personal account over to a My Client Center account.

We didn't have any downsides to opening an MCC account for the sake of the API.
