At $1.00 i am on average in the 7th -10th position. At what increments should i up my bid to see how my creative is doing? As i think even a good creative wont get many clicks in the 7th - 10th place.... Should i pop it to 2.00? At that price, that campaign is not sustainable though... I am now hovering at about .5% CTR, so i may get shut down or my clicks will be at $1.00.....
Am i wrong in my assumption?
Also, what kind of words or "guarantee" or "hooks" do people find works well in attracting clicks? I was thinking of creating a coupon code and entering it into my creative, anyone have any experience with putting coupons on Adwords? Anyone have much of a response when they tried that?
Your help is much appreciated, as i know there are alot more experience people than I, i am pretty much going trial and error now, and losing some good change in the process..... ;)

As with most things Internet, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Especially with AdWords, there are so many variables- your max. bid, max. bid of your competitors, size of your competitor pool, size of target market, quality of the creatives, quality of your landing page(s), the keywords themselves, etc.
It's best to not bite off more than you can chew, especially in the begining. At this point, benchmark what you have, make a subtle tweak or two, gather data and analyze the changes, make a subtle tweak or two, gather data and analyze the changes, rinse & repeat over and over.
As far as creative, look at what your sompetitors are doing and figure out how to do things better. If you were a prosepctive customer, what would make YOU want to click on an ad?
