I have a Google AdWords campaign and it was kicking ass a few days ago but now all of a sudden I lost all of my page impressions. For a while I was getting 25,000 impressions a day on my 500 keywords or so. The ads were converting very nicely and everything was working out for me.

Now...I am getting 2,000 impressions a day even after I boosted my max cpc. What happened? Its like Google just doesn't like my account or something. What should I do? I was converting very nicely :(

Hi signature16 - Have your keyword quality score ratings changed? Are your keywords getting disabled? Are there any keywords that have maintained consistent impression levels - or did they all decline? How has your average position been affected? Did you potentially have Content enabled? Has your CTR changed?

Were your ads showing on the content as well as search network? If they were - then it is not unusual to see such peaks and troughs - it could be that you have stopped appearing in the content of a high traffic site.

I would agree that content can play a big part in it.

I didn't deselect content network while making a new AdGroup quick enough and got 4,000 impressions in about an hour! Now its of I get about that in a week, it may be lower but the CTR and quality of customer is much higher.

PS - Hi from a newbie at WW =)

Here's another (very basic, but often overlooked) possibility: did you edit any of the ads in question? If so (and if your ads are appearing beyond Google.com and/or relate to a sensitive topic) then impressions can go way down until the edited ad(s) has been reviewed and approved.

I'd also add that if this is still occurring for you, it would probably be best to check-in with AdWords support, since they can see your account - while those of us here can not. ;)
