Can't get adwords to be displayed

Hi all,

I hope someone can shed some light on this, it's driving me nuts. I'm not a total adwords novice, but I've only run a few campaigns, so I have much to learn.

I set up a campaign this morning, 10 hours ago, and the ads are still not showing for the chosen keyworks.

I have an active campaign, with two active Ad Groups, with an ad in each group. The default bid is more than sufficient at £3.

The Ads Diagnostic Tool says:

You have no ads that match the search term *****

Reason
The keyword phrase you've entered doesn't currently trigger any of your ads.

I'm totally out of ideas. Any help would be much appreciated.

TIA

I'm seeing some really weird activity today, where my ads are only being displayed for a small number of pageviews. Never seen anything like this before. Maybe they are in the middle of an update or something and it's affecting the display of AdWords ads. When I search on my top keywords I see all kinds of weird ads I've never seen before, and most of the top ads that are always there (including mine) and nowhere to be found. It's bizarre ... they are either testing something or there is some kind of update or glitch. I even found one of my ads just now in the 35th spot, when it always in the 2-3 spot.

An update, in case anyone finds it useful in the future.

First, Google have failed to respond to my email, 28 hours later. Not impressed.

We experimented a lot, and discovered that the reason the ads weren't being displayed is because we had the word "cam" in there. This apparently flagged it as adult content, and prevented it from being displayed.

As it happens, the ad was not adult content in any way, but was for a piece of equipment with cam in its name. No warning messages informed me of the fact that the ad was being blocked. Removing the word "cam" from the ad fixed it within a few minutes.

I suspect your ad wasn't blocked, but just wasn't approved yet. Since you had the word "cam" in the ad, it was probably flagged for approval before it could be made active. Approval seems to take several days at best. When you removed "cam" from the ad, it no longer needed approval. When the Ads Diagnostic Tool said:

You have no ads that match the search term

I'm guessing it meant that you had no "active" or "approved" ads that matched that search term. It would be much better if the Ads Diagnostic Tool could say something like:

Your ad that matches that search term in not approved yet.

Limitup > I am seeing the same. Google says that my ads are ranking in position 1 or 2 but when I search I see them at the bottom or not thare at all. This is very strange. I am not sure what is going on but I sure hope it is fixed soon.
