Google's latest update newsletter touts Impression Share as an option in the Campaign & Account under Add/Remove Columns.

So I ran it for various Campaigns.

According to the results, I only have 1 campaign getting 100% impression share. It has a $4 bid and 10k monthly budget and is an exact match for one word. I would expect this to get 100%

Many other campaigns worry me. They show Less than 10% impression share. That's with $0.75 bids, Average position 3.5 and Daily Budget set to what I want to spend for the month and several times what Google recommends (which i do, or thought i did, to maximize Impression Share).

All that said, half my Campaigns show Less than 10% Impression Share. Admittedly, every time I go to look for an ad, it is usually there so maybe the report is just "buggy". We'll see.

What do you guys see?

I don't see anything like that. Is it one the site, or in the AdWords Editor? I looked both places, and nothing.

The "Impression Share" metric is in the Google Reports.

I am seeing no campaigns with 100%.
Most of our campaigns show that impression share is < 10%

Could this be due to the limits we have for the campaign, such having selected specific countries and/or using negative keywords?

I see it in both my MCC accounts:

Reports/Creat Report/Campaign Performance/Add or Remove Columns/Impression Share

Hope that helps.

Maybe its not rolled out everywhere yet?

Maybe things like negative keywords or regional settings limit your impression share? I'm not really sure if it measures the share of ALL queries for your keyword (where your ad shows), or just a share of all queries subject to your restrictions. Both numbers would be nice, although the latter more relevant.

I suspect that the total on which the Impression Share is calculated does not account for negative keywords or country filters. Would be nice to know for sure.
