I test our links in the campagin editor and the link for the ad work, but as soon as I do a search and click on our ad it does not. Not sure who's side this is on.

Are your Ad's Working?

Mahlon,

Have you checked your destination URL and the display URL?

If they don't point to the right place and include the http bit:
e.g. [example.com...]
then it won't ever work

I would also be careful about clicking on your Ad as you are more than likely incurring costs everytime.

Hope this is useful

Nigel

mahlon, even the tiniest typo in your destination URL will land our user on a 'broken' page. And as StressFreeIT points out the 'http bit' is very important. Make sure that you haven't ended up with two 'http bits' also. ;)

Once you've determined that the Destination URL is 100% accurate, and if you still are taken to a broken page, then I'd suggest contacting AdWords support to have them analyze the issue. Be sure to identify the campaign, Ad Group, and ad in question, when you write.

In my time with AdWords, I can't recall a case in which I've seen a accurate display URL send our user to anything other than the page specified, BTW. So, if this is such a case, we'd certainly want to know about it.

Ok, the URL's are correct, the ads work on different computers with Firefox, just not my firefox at home. This reminds me, when I click on Google Dictionary at home those links don't work for me either. So, this could be a browser setting or Zona Alarm I guess.
