First, what is dynamic keyword insertion? Simply put, it is the ability to automatically put in your keyword phrase into your title, or first line, of your Adwords ad. (You also can use dynamic insertion the copy, too.) ;) This way, if someone searches for your keyword phrase, it will appear in bold. If your keyword is too long (longer than the 25 character limit), you would use a default ad text.

Now, here is the fun part! There are different ways to do dynamic insertion, so here goes a nice little jewel of information. The keyword inserted in your ad is capitalized depending on how you format the word 'keyword' in the curly brackets. For example:

{keyword:Default Ad Text} = pc sound card (no capitals)
{Keyword:Default Ad Text} = Pc sound card (capitalize first word)
{KeyWord:Default Ad Text} = Pc Sound Card (capitalize first letter of each word)
{KEYWORD:Default Ad Text} = PC SOUND CARD (all caps)
{KEYWord:Default Ad Text} = PC Sound Card (capitalize all of first word, and each first letter)
{KeyWORD:Default Ad Text} = Pc Sound CARD (capitalize all of last word, and each first letter)

You must include the default ad text. So, if the default ad text was “PC Sound Card Sale,” this default phrase will show when your regular keyword phrase is longer than the 25 character length. Keep in mind, your default ad text must also be 25 characters or less!
Happy Adwording!

Good summary justablink. But surely if you use {KEYWORD:Default Ad Text} your ad text will be disallowed?
