AdWords Editor 3.0 is now available for Windows. With Version 3.0, you can:
Add or edit site-targeted campaigns
Add or edit negative sites for keyword- and site-targeted campaigns
Edit another account while posting or checking your changes
Pause or resume individual ads, keywords, and sites
See the number of rows you've selected in the data view
any views on how it helped you in past?
Incredibly useful tool. Like nothing else out there for any other engine - & improving all the time.
The features I enjoy the most:
* Exporting entire accounts for archiving
* Exporting single campaigns for modifying in Excel
* Review/share the proposed changes to an account
* Copy, cut and paste ad groups and campaigns
* Easily make mass additions, deletions, changes
* Add negative keywords to many campaigns easily
* Delete duplicate keywords
* Work off-line
Aside from that though, I find it a good tool to have handy -- but not essential. Still, as poster_boy indicates, it's unlike anything else offered from competing systems.
Hmmm. Later has passed. Anybody else having this problem?
Please note that Version 3.0 is currently available for Windows 2000/XP/Vista only...
By the way, I plan to include a link to this entire thread in this week's Advertiser Feedback Report (which goes out late Thursday) - so this is an excellent chance to let us know what is and is not meeting your needs in regards to AdWords Editor. I'll pass along all feedback regardless of whether it is negative or positive.
Thanks in advance!

I am at a loss, especially because nobody else seems to have this problem.
It's always the same - xulrunner.exe ModName sqlite3.dll
It happens when I'm trying to post changes.
I don't know what all information is required in order to report this - I can send all the memory registers and stuff, but I don't know that it would help.
My biggest complaint:
Why can't the app let you do everything you can do from within your account?
For example, if I want to change some of the campaign settings (eg: ads display according to performance or "more equally"), I have to do this through the web browser.
Personally I'd pay for a Pro version that would let me only use the AdWords Editor :-)
Thanks!

Here's the problem - I want to analyze performance at the keyword level, and use that data to make decisions about keyword groupings at the Ad Group and Campaign level. In Analytics, I can either view the whole account's performance by keyword (but it won't list the AdGroups/Campaigns for those keywords), or I can see them as Campaigns and AdGroups but only view one at a time. I have a ton of AdGroups and there's no way I can evaluate them one-by-one. The only solution I've found is to export the keyword data from Analytics to Excel, and group them by performance. Then I take a subset of keywords that perform similarly and do an Advanced Search in Editor. Very time-consuming.
I have been trying for a few days now but keep getting the message: AdWords editor was able to contact AdWords, but there was a problem with the communication. Please try again later.
3.0 has crashed for me again a couple of times this morning.

CeeDee and netmeg - I did have the chance for a quick chat with a member of the AE team, and the bottom line in either of your cases is that they'll need to take a look at the actual accounts to really get to the bottom of things. Below are my notes from the conversation. Any chance that you could contact AdWords support and provide the applicable details - and mention that AdWordsAdvisor and the AdWords Editor team requested on WebmasterWorld that the info be consulted directly to them?
Need to know if they used Editor v2.5 or another version of AdWords Editor previously? Also need to know the account they were working on and if they are client managers (i.e. using an MCC login in Editor?). Also, when did they get the message (i.e. when trying to download the acct?) If posting changes, what types of changes were they trying to make? Does it help if they reduce the number of changes they try to post? Do they get the crash after checking changes or when actually posting changes?
Thanks in advance!

Here is an answer I got from AdwordsAPIAdvisor about the quality score labels:
Just to give you a rough estimate of how minimum bids and these
quality "buckets" currently align... "Great" keywords have a minimum
bid less than or equal to $0.04, "Okay" keywords have a minimum bid
between $0.05 and $0.30, and "Poor" keywords have a minimum bid that
is higher than $0.30. Please note, these ranges may change over
time.
1. "Resume Post" --> picking up where you left off after a 'Network Error' interrupts a process
2. "While you're posting, you can work on another account."
Incredibly needed, useful and appreciated.
Any way to set up campaigns and adgroups along with the keywords as a simple import of data? I have looked around but it looks to me like I have to set up Campaign 1, 2 3 etc, pre-populate with adgroups then paste in keywords.
Did I miss any short cuts?
Thanks
John

When you click on 'add multiple' keywords or ads, a popup box appears. There are two options. The first pastes keywords into a single adgroup, the second allows you to define adgroups and campaigns.
If an adgroup or campaign doesn't exist, then the editor will create it. It's a very simple way of creating new adgroups and campaigns with a single copy and paste.
I have been playing with the Editor and it is a real time saver - however I was a little perturbed when the above (which was pasted into the add multiple keywords functionality turned itself into an ad for the keyword '0.05' with a maximum CPC bid of 110,066,229 dollars!
That might stretch my budget a little!
Could someone please replicate this issue?
Replace the spaces with Tabs except for the one in '1100 66229' - forum display issue corrected.
