I want to sell affiliate "widgets" through adwords but actually have no "widgets" website!

Can I put say 'widgets.com' in the display URL and the actually link through to them with my affiliate code in?

So an example ad would look abit like this -

Buy Widgets Here
Get yourself a Widget
at big discounts!
www.widgets.com
(then point the ad to http ://www.widgets.com&=my affiliate link)

So you are actually selling there products without having your own website at all.

Is this against any TOS?

I think Shak is saying that you can absolutely do this, not that it is absolutely against any TOS, at least that is true with many affiliate programs out there.

However. First check with the site you are linking to that they aren't double tracking clicks.

I was doing AdSense ads for a company that based any sales _both_ on the affiliate ID and the referring site. And all my payed AdWords clicks counted as nill and nothing when the referring server wasn't my own site.

At that point I had to go via a landing page.

I do that with about half the campaigns I run. Additionally, you may find this thread [webmasterworld.com] to be helpful. ;)
