calculates the bid price?

Just looked into the new quality score column, luckily most of the keywords are Great or Ok.

But has this quality score calculated the bid price?
or just for min bid reference according to the landing page quality, ad text relevance etc?

I believe the QS column displays the minimum bid calculated from the Quality score. I understand that this takes into account landing page quality, ad test, relevant etc.

If it doesn't start to effect the avg cpc then what's the point? actual cpcs seem to still be calculated mostly on the CTR, with only the minimum bids affected by the Q Score rating. Unless it's not hit the accounts I'm looking at yet that is.

I don't believe that actual Cost Per Click has any direct relationsip to CTR.

As I understand it, the ranking of your Ad is dependent on you actual bid and the QS. The Cost Per Click you are actually charged should be the minimum amount necessary to achieve the same ranking for the search concerned.

So the only relationship between CPC and CTR is through the Quality Score. My understanding is that Ad CTR has less impact on the QS than landing page/site quality, ad text relevance, and landing page relevance.

My understanding is that Ad CTR has less impact on the QS than landing page/site quality, ad text relevance, and landing page relevance.

Though this seems plausible, my experience has learned me different. A have been bidding on a keyword which was the companies name, and thus the landingpage was its homepage. Could it be any more relevant? Also no competitors were (allowed) bidding on this word (tm). But still my min cpc was pretty high. Why is that then? Very weird imo...

In the case I stated above I would believe CTR (part of QS, according to Google) and its history affected my bids and actual cpc a lot!
