Does anyone know what the limit is for number of words in a campaign? How about an ad group?

Thanks

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Corey.

Limits (per account, campaigns, ad group) vary per advertiser depending on your level of spend. I'm not sure what the entry level limits are (or, even if your account has already been upgraded) - but, you're very likely to receive contrasting answers to this question based on these differences.

When I used to run into the limit it was around:

2000 per ad group

25000 per account

Upgraded level, i believe, is 5,000 per ad group, 1,000,000 per account...

ask your google rep. (might need to use budgets and stuff, don't know actually)

Didn't know there was an 'Upgraded level'.
From what I hear - once you hit an 'unmanageable size' limit (I have never got there), you write to adwords support and tell them you need to add more keywords and they oblige.
But I have never heard of 5000 keywords per ad group.

I was told by Adwords that a group has to have <2000 words. However, this might be because I'm a newbie.
