How do I know number of inactive keywords by date?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question but I desperately want to know how I can figure out inactive keywords by date. Basically want to check if the number of inactive keywords has dropped because of certain changes made to the account. Problem is I dont know the total number of inactive keywords before the changes because that was not the objective of the changes.
Thanks.

Sounds a perfectly sensible question to me.

From AdWords:

Tools/Advanced Search and Editing/Find and Edit Keywords. Select "all campaigns" (or possibly all active campaigns) and Inactive.

I think the OP is asking whether or not you can determine how many keywords, or which keywords, were inactive during a prior period of time.

Unfortunately, keyword status - much like the max bid - are only shown as their current state or value when pulling reports... even when pulling reports for historic time periods.

I'm afraid Poster Boy is right. However, the ability to run these kinds of reports would be extremely useful.

The problem with this is that seldom used and very low CTR keywords can go temporarily inactive for part of a day or a couple of days because they are seldom used in any searches. Then, when someone uses the terms again, G can decide to activate them for awhile, just to see if they get any impressions and clicks. If not, they go inactive again. Your keywords also go to inactive status if your campaign daily budget is spend. For some advertisers, that may be for many hours each day. The effects of other advertiser's bids and budgets may also have an effect. If some of your keywords are inactive due to your low bids, but G finds that they cannot fill up page one with ads unless they activate them, they might do active, at least for some time. How G activates and deactivates keywords is so dynamic and unpredictable that any such reports would be meaningless for a lot of keywords.

Even so, I'd still like to see this in the reports. Even if looking at individual keywords wouldn't be that useful/reliable, the overall trends would still be interesting.

Thanks guys. Sorry for the late reply. poster_boy is correct, I was looking for status stats for a certain period.
I did run some reports and realized that its not possible to get inactive keyword data date-wise :(
I also did not know that the status of keywords fluctuates so often. I have noticed that at times inactive keywords do show stats but it has been rare in my account and my understand what that if the overall account QS improves, inactive keywords will be given a chance. The logical question back then should have been why some inactive keywords show stats and others dont.

What does it mean when you start to see words disabled across the board over several campaigns? I am starting to see increasing disabled words in all campaigns. Some slight increases and some heavier. It seems to be progressing over the last several days. Does this mean that adwords is preparing to shut off all words in the account, but just does it slowly? I hope not, because they already did this in July. (I had no search clicks). They re-activated in November (hopefully because I added a ton of content), and now I see what appears to be a repeat of July. Its maddening. Any thoughts on the daily increase of disabled words? Should I be worried? Does anyone else see this increase in disabled words?
