Google Pro Exam Questions

Is it me or are some of the google pro questions a bit off. One of them had 'choose two' and then served a radio button which means you can only select one? Its got abit harder now though, but most frustratingly is that if you done get the ad formats section correct, you fail the whole exam irrespective of what high percentage you get. Sales tool rather than decent exam me thinks.

Prob something like that. Im so annoyed that I spent 1hr 30 last night taking it, got like 85% then told I failed cus I didnt know some ad format question. Im almost certain that it would be impossible to get 100% anyway.

Hi,

Can you please share few of the questions so that the newbies like me can get an idea how the exam is, also what is the level of preparation required.

If you get a question like that (with the radio button), always make a screenshot and send it to Google. If you failed the test, they'll let you take the test again for sure...
but most frustratingly is that if you done get the ad formats section correct, you fail the whole exam irrespective of what high percentage you get

Imo this is completely normal. This is the most elementary part of AdWords. If you don't know the ad formats, what will you do with AdWords?
And if you work a lot with AdWords (what professionals DO), the exam will be peanuts...

Well first thing is that you get 2 tries at it a month, so if you fail you can retake. Alot of the questions are quite straight forward, based on concepts like what is pay per click, what is an acceptable editorial policies. Then they drop in some bad boys from billing point of view that are nigh on impossible to find in the learning centre. You can get most answers straight out the learning centre but its worth making sure you know your stuff, like where to find what options in interface before taking it.

Thanks for the enlightenment "And if you work a lot with AdWords (what professionals DO)"

Im fairly sure I count as a professional, not being able to answer a question correctly is stupid.

I don't think THAT would be fair...
But just check the AdWords Learning Center. There are sample quiz questions. They are pretty alike to the real exam questions...

Imo, those questions about the format were fairly basic. So if you get those wrong, yep, kinda stupid...
But hey, you can retake the test again this month. Nothing to worry about :)

I really wanted to put the emphasis of my thread start on not being able to answer the question even if I had the right answer more than I dont understand ad formats, your right, ad format questions answers are in the help center and are easy peasy. Dont you think I would have spent more time at the start of the test if id known I could fail on it ;)

sure, i was so lucky to be told by my rep to get those questions correct (after i took the test)... but that would help...
but hey my biggest concern is the radio button issue... questions being not able to answer correctly is ashame imo, agree with you on that!

...and pay attention here:

"Ad Formats .... (this section must be passed)"

So slow up and get these ad format questions right to save yourself a wasted hour and a half.

what is the level of preparation required.

It's very hard to prepare as many of questions you simply won't have cause to know whilst running a normal adwords account, the AdWords Help Centre should help you with those.

By the end of the test you'll have learnt plenty about Google's new products :)

I'd recommend going through the quizzes in the Learning Centre before attempting the real test. I've run AdWords campaigns for years, but it quickly revealed I knew nothing about Analytics!

I passed the exam with a good grade :p
BUT, some topics, except the format section, were below minimum... ;)

i think the problem is that some of the questions are "subjective" and dont have a yes or no answer!

i took it like 2 years ago, need to retake next month! but i sat in a one of traniees taking the test and the questions dont seem to have changed much! i did see the "pick two" but can only pick one question, he did mention the strangeniss!

i dont think that G dont want anyone to get 100%! i wonder what ewispers grade was?

If you see questions/answers that are worded awkwardly or are unclear, please send them in to AdWords support. Changes can and will be made to correct these scenarios.

AWA2

PS Even I missed one question last time I took the exam. There are some tricky ones in there.

I took the exam not to long ago and yea there are some questions that are simply irrelevant and silly but like all exams you get that :)
