Time of Day Targeting

Can PPC ads be limited to displaying during certain times of the day?

I’m looking to target my PPC advertising to specific times of the day.
i.e. my ads will only display between the hours of 10am and 2 pm GMT.

Are any of these statements correct?

1)You can target time within the Google and Overture advertiser interfaces
2)Google & Overture will set this up if you spend more than $x per day
3)If you use big management software/service provider y you will be able to
4)You have never been able to do this but I with you could
5)Something completely different

If you're asking here and not getting on the phone to Google or Overture then, no, probably not.

Day Parting is possible to do, but not through the suppliers interface.

No matter how much money you spend, G and O will not encourage you to spend less money with them.

The effect of day parting is more painful on Google CTR, and I would advise against it myself.

For what it is worth I've found two bid management companies who offer this service (with all their other services) for ~5% of spend.

Guess that's open to interpretation as to whether it's a service or a dis-service on Google.

We can do it, just have found it to be poor value, especially at the moment.
