Google paused adwords account due to vouchers!

I bought a host service from a hosting company and get a 50Euro adwords voucher 3 months ago.

I applied the voucher to my new adwords client in these days. This client is the first time advertise on Google and never use adwords voucher. But Google pause his account and tell him that he is abusing adwords vouchers.

I am surprised at that. Google give out vouchers, when people use it, then Google paused their accounts. What's wrong with Google? Google is fooling customers.

Anybody else meet this problem?

Your new adwords client?

Has your client had a adwords account in the past with vouchers?

Lots of voucher fraud going on these days. Excellent way for Google to bring NEW people on board, but people are committing fraud left and right creating new accounts over and over and using vouchers left and right.

So depending on how you have the account set up, if you or your client have used a voucher before it might be triggering something to tell them you have already used a voucher.

Our company build the webiste for this client. The client has NO website before.

There is no possible that they used coupons in the past days.
I think Google ban all vouchers, but Google still send out vouchers. I can not understand that. Maybe Google is crazy.

I never use them or give them away, I feel it's just too much risk involved. I'd rather give my client $50 myself than worry about getting banned. While I am normally quick to defend Google, I hear too many firsthand stories of people I know that are honest being banned or penalized without explanation nor without reasonable discussion afterwards about what went wrong and how resolution can be achieved. And myself, personally, get very little support and answers are always canned, tight lipped type stuff - so I think... why would I give / use a voucher for someone and set myself up for unknown, unresolvable issues with my largest advertising channel... I wouldn't.

Voucher or vouchers?

Most/all of these have a one-per-customer restriction.

So, it's understandable why this happened if more than one voucher was used.

So the voucher was provided to you not your client.

Was the voucher transferable? If not then this was abuse of the voucher.

Have you had/used vouchers previously? Maybe you're the problem not the client.

Did the hosting company have the rights to issue the voucher? Maybe they have caused the problem.
